About Dr. B

Before I became a therapist, I was just like so many of the women I now work with: ambitious, capable, and quietly overwhelmed. I knew how to show up for everyone else but had no idea how to show up for me. I thought anxiety was just part of the grind and that emotional self-protection was strength. But doing my own self-work changed everything.

Learning to build a healthier relationship with myself, one rooted in compassion, boundaries, and emotional honesty, helped me step out of survival mode and into a more secure, grounded way of being. It didn’t happen overnight (healing rarely does), but I’ve lived the journey from over-functioning and anxious attachment to peace, presence, and self-trust.

And now, that’s the work I help other Black women do, too.

"My work isn’t about fixing people, it’s about guiding Black women back to the parts of themselves they were told to silence. Healing begins when you realize you don’t have to perform strength to be worthy of care."
